One to laugh at.:missingte

Had J5 diamonds and decided to play because I was already big blind.

The flop comes out all diamonds: 2 3 6
Of course I was excited to see that I flopped a flush so I placed a small bet. and two people call. Turn card comes and it's a K of spades or clubs.
River card pops out and it's a 4 of Diamonds.

At this point, I was worried. The reason why was because I was scared of the Ace of diamonds because I thought it would beat my J. I knew one of the guys had it cuz they were chasing till the end.

Anyways, he bets and instead of me raising, I just call because i'm scared my J won't be high enough.

To my surprise, I win and I'm just like :ughhh:

I had a Straight Flush and I didn't even know it. :monsters-

Could've taken the guy out, but instead he comes back in the end and beats me later in the game.

Yes, this is a story of my stupidity. :nohead:

Over the course of your poker career this is one of the least important mistakes you will make. Don't beat yourself up about it; you won't make it again. Congrats on the straight flush.

I don't think a week goes by when I don't see someone who has the nuts fail to bet or raise it. You aren't alone.

Last year sometime, I was playing the Super Wednesday on Party, which is limit. I flopped the flush and we capped, turn we cap again, river isanother spade and im like fuck, he leads, I just call. Pot comes my way, whoops, the river gave me the strait flush. I lost 3 big bets right there I should have had and I ended up getting 24th in that tourney out of 600 or so. Would have been nice not to make that mistake then.

Ever see a flop like 3-K-3 and be thinking you just flopped trips and bet like it only to look again on the river and see the A-3 you thought you had in your hand is actually an A-4.
Not a good feeling but you only have to do it about once to realize it's good to look again before you bet.
We've all done stupid shit.
